Description
This was another assignment from the Fall 2005 Intro to Digital Art class. The goal was to take a photograph of myself and commit visual identity theft. In this I manipulated the photo to make myself appear Japanese, stealing the identity of "Midori Harada" - "Midori" because of my Mori no Ike camp name, "Harada" as homage to the host family I stayed with in Fukuoka during CLV Study Abroad in Summer 2006.
Many people think that just because I study the language and love the culture that I myself want to be Japanese, but this is not the case. Just for laughs, I made myself look as Japanese as possible without making myself completely unrecognizable. (For those of you who are unaware, I'm about the most un-Japanese-looking person out there!)
