Monster Allergy Shirt - Back by midori-no-ink Monster Allergy Shirt - Back by midori-no-ink
This is the back of a Monster Allergy-themed shirt I made before I left to go abroad for a year. I bought a plain purple all-cotton shirt at Target, then carved myself some stencils out of transparency paper, loaded up a spray bottle with a mixture of bleach and water, then went to work. This is the result :)

This is the logo from the comic and cartoon, minus one or two little spots. I happen to think the logo is fantastic, and was really happy to be able to put it on the back. I don't like it when people stare at my chest to read text that might be on it...and I'm not sure I'd want my chest proclaiming "Monster Allergy" because it could be interpreted in soooo many...er...interesting(?) ways. So it's on the back!

I'm really pleased with how the random splatter spots ended up. Unexpected, but awesome!!

I can't wait to wear this in public :)

August 28, 2008, bleach stencil.

Ahhh, I love this. Great color choice, too, and it's a long-sleeved shirt!

Thanks! Yeah, the advantage to making my own fan clothing is that I can pick everything, including the colors, placement, and style! I have tons of tee-shirts but not enough long-sleeved, so this was a natural choice.

Heehee :D For some reason when I sprayed the bleach at the shirt a second time, some areas turned blue - that might be contributing to the look.
