Staff Tee-Shirt 2008

So, that crazy Japanese camp I work at...pretty much every year they order custom shirts for the staff. The dean asked me to make a shirt based off of this Threadless tee, only with all the commands in Japanese (since it's a Japanese immersion camp). Well, 24 hours of vectoring later, I had this. A crazy colorful design with a bunch of verbs that are commonly used at camp, with the idea being that the students would touch the button and say the verb (since this is to be printed on the back of the shirt to avoid embarrassing the female staff), then the staff member would do the action. All in all, a fun teaching tool that can be used in daily classes AND a cool thing to wear at International Day to make all the other language villages jealous!!

Up in the upper left-hand corner is a section that essentially advertises the staff member as a strange contraption: "They can do anything! Mori no Ike Sensei Version 2008 Summer (First Half)" A little to the right, also near the top, is a bit saying, "Let's try pushing the buttons!" (But I bet you could have guessed that!)

Maybe some other time I'll go through and, y'know, translate all the buttons for y'all.

So yeah. We're getting this on a tee-shirt, wooooo! I'll see if I can upload some pictures when we finally get 'em

Ah ah ah, I know you're all gonna ask about fonts! I found them all online The only thing in my handwriting is the "v. 2008" at the top of the shirt.

Adobe Illustrator, far too many hours, quite a few free Japanese-language fonts, and the last of my sanity. May-June, 2008.
