First off: Apologies for the really low file quality. I'm lacking a scanner, and my camera needs new batteries - I took this with my webcam. This is just a place-holder until I can get new batteries and/or access to a scanner, I suppose. Sorryyyyy >_<

Magic School Bus has held a special place in my heart since around first grade or so. Yesterday I was walking around Gotanda and came across a used video store selling bilingual MSB tapes. I nearly died, I was so happy! I snapped a few up, brought them back to my dorm, and spent the evening watching them in Japanese and English. It's really exciting to be able to enjoy one of my favorite series EVER in a new way, even after all these years!

Oh, right, the picture. My favorite character out of the show has always been Arnold (even if I'd claim it was Dorothy Ann out of embarrassment - I was a weird kid. Wait, was?!). I feel like Arnold and Wanda played off each other really well, even if it was mainly Wanda just bossing him around all the time. I think they are cute together.

The phrases in the background were all uttered by Ms. Frizzle at numerous points in the show, with the exception of the sideways one next to Wanda that you can barely see. It says, "and YOU are coming WITH ME". This is from "Hops Home", where she demands that Arnold help find her bullfrog...which he lost when she told him to watch it. It was originally said in a demanding tone of voice, but I feel like in this context, it has a completely different meaning. All of them do...I feel like they're softened when put up against the drawing in the foreground.

...I swear she bosses him around because she cares for him. Aah, elementary school.

I will update this with a clearer version as soon as possible - I just want the upload date to be correct for now!!
