Winter Fun

This is a piece from December 2002. I wanted to draw a winter scene with Misty making an Ash snowman using some of his accessories, with Ash finding it amusing. (I may have been a bit of a Pokeshipper at the time.) My favorite part of this picture, though, is the snow Pikachu that Ash's earmuffed Pikachu is contributing its tail to.

Originally a pencil sketch, traced onto new paper with a thin Sharpie if I remember correctly, then colored with Prismacolor pencils. I wish I could say my colored pencil work has improved beyond this piece, but it really hasn't. (I don't think so, anyway.)

I started a new version of this piece last winter, but I have yet to take it beyond the pencil sketch stage. I may re-draw it again and post it as an example to show progression over time, but...I have a lot of other things to do first!
